I had the same problem and looked EVERYWHERE for a solution. After a week I found what REALLY works. Power off laptop and remove battery. Hold down power button for 10-30 seconds to remove any built up charge. Now, remove the 6 screws around the outeredge of the frame surrounding the screen.

Take a slim flat bladed screwdriver (or guitar pick) and slide around edges of frame, then GENTLY pull outer frame away from LCD screen. You should be able to see the webcam and where it plugs into screen.

Slide plugstraight up and disconnect. Now, replace battery and power on laptop. While on, plug cable back in fully until you hear a click. Windows should now find and install driver automatically.
